How does a solar system works?
The detailed physics of how exactly the solar system works are as followed:
Every day the sun emits extremely high amounts of solar rays that are collected by PV panels. Systems are design based on yearly averages of when the sun actually will hit the panels. Each day will vary depending the weather, so the average is used to calculate an effective system. Normally during sunny summer days the system produces more than the average daily use on any residential home. What happens in this case is that your system will feed the utility grid thus crediting your account when future electricity is being used on less sunny days.
The system installed on your roof contains photovoltaic solar panels normally directed towards the South where more sun light can be collected. There are some systems that pivot on a mechanized arm to follow the suns movement, however the average normal residential system would be stationary and be positioned south. The number of modules installed on your roof or any surface in the vicinity of the house will be determined based on your existing usage of electricity plus future expected consumption.
